January 28, 2011 (This is re-post from a Facebook Note.)

This afternoon in the very long pharmacy line at Walgreens, I let one very impatient and crabby old lady go in front of me; this put her parallel to the source of her irritation: another old lady who was in the other line with a cart full of groceries. My line's old lady loudly complained about people who should take their carts to the front. The other old lady explained she had been waiting too. My line's old lady told the other old lady, "Well, why don't you go fly a kite!" The other old lady gasped and said, "Me go fly a kite? YOU go fly a kite!" I had to resist the urge to run up and hug both of them. Things ended peacefully when they got their prescriptions. There were no purse bashings or even more shocking language to report.
